Systems Design for an Acquarium

Redesign of Ace Aquaria

This project was to redesign a shop that sells fi shes. These fi shes are displayed in aquariums in the shop. My focus areas were mainly to create an identity and to make an interactive display space for the shop.

An existing aquarium shop in Pune was studied from a systems point of view and design solutions suggested to improve its performance through redesign of the process, communications and interactions of how the fish is brought to the shop by the shop keepreand finally bought and maintained by a customer.

I experimented with different shapes and forms of a fi sh to come up with a logo that has a very simple shape of the fish.
This is the new identity for the brand. I chose yellow as the primary colour for the logo as the most commonly sold fish was the Gold fish.

This is the website i created for the brand

Information page from the website

These are Interactive touch panels which appear on the front surface of each aquarium giving information about the particular fi sh. If you select the green symbol you have added it to your cart, which will then show you the cost, the number of fi sh you would like to purchase and the date of
delivery. This information is directed to the payment counter where you can collect your purchase.

This is an interactive bubble at the entrance of the store where you could write down what you are looking for and it will give you the choices, defi ne your search and shows you to which aquariums hold which breed and type of fi sh.

These are the final redesign of the environment and space inside the shop. The interactive panels are placed on the right side of each tank..
